18 days

Josh is having a so-so day. I guess he can't have good days all the time. His breathing hasn't been good today. They had to adjust the settings up for today, meaning making the machine do more work vs him doing a lot of the work. He has been having many desats and a few apnea and bradycardia episodes. They are also giving him a bit more caffeine. No k-care today... the nurse didn't think he was stable enough to tolerate it today. Sucks, but I agree that if he is not feeling right, taking him in and out of the incubator probably isn't a good idea. We'll see how he is doing tomorrow. All in all this isn't bad... he is still young. We sometimes forget that he is only 2 1/2 weeks since it seems so much longer for us.

Love to all.

Good Morning Harrington's all...
I thought of you often while on vacation and am happy to hear that Joshua continues to fight the good fight.
He has grown so much in just these 18 days! How handsome he is. Yeah for him!
Remember, stroking his little head and talking lots to him is a wonderful thing... He remembers your voice and it makes him feel safe and loved. Why not ask the NICU nurses if you could make a CD of you talking to him that could play over and over for him when you have to be sleeping and getting ready to welcome him home... Just a thought I had this morning.
I can imagine that every day feels like a year...and for him it is like climbing Mt Everest!
God does have you all in the palm of His hand!

God Bless, Elizabeth
