Day 23

Gestational Age: 27 weeks 4 days

They intubated Josh again today. He was just struggling to keep it up on the SNIP so they decided it was best to intubate him so that he didn't have to work so hard. I think we sometimes forget that he is only 3 weeks old... we really expected this to happen so it doesn't really feel like a setback, just making it easier for the little man. They will do this for about a week or so, and then try again and see if he does better. We didn't stay long today because he was still "recovering" from the ordeal of getting the tube and needed some rest. We'll of course be visiting again tomorrow and hopefully he will have settled in a bit.
